When we choose to graduate to "Heaven", it influences the minds of those in her Hell, drawing her nearer to her goal. It has something to do with hope and all that.
Vengeance's goal as he's told it is the freedom of mankind from God and the power God would be able to exert over others. And considering the Lady's power in her domain is strong enough that Azzy can't attack her because she believes they're on good terms, I'm prone to not side with them.
That said, just because his domain isn't lies does not mean I truly believe my "boss" has good intentions. I am trying to find the truth which must lie somewhere in the middle- and to liberate the idols with that knowledge.
It might be good for us to work together to that goal. No strings attached, of course.
...heh, I'm not surprised. I don't know if you ever had a chance to visit Liar Hell when the Production was under Maintenance, or even some other time, but their residents model themselves after angels and even have angel refugees among them.
[ nods. ] I do know her whole thing works on belief, and the stronger the belief the more power she holds. I have heard that many many many times, and let me tell you it certainly gets old fast. However, I had no idea that it extended to Azzy to that degree.
I don't like either side, honestly, especially because I'm sure he's using us similarly, but spinning it in a way that makes it look marginally better than she is. But I can definitely admire what you're doing. Me, I'm not sure what my goal is beyond protect those I care about, but I have no problems lending a hand if and when I can, as long as you're willing to do the same... no strings attached, as you've said.
So what would you have me pass along to her. She knows that you, Paloma, and Wataru were involved in taking care of Exael.
I've been working with Intensity to this end as well, and have been using my unique position to get as much information as possible and disseminating.
I also gave him information to report so for consistency's sake, I want them to know that "I don't know why it happened, I just did what I was assigned to do", and "I got what I wanted out of it." In addition, if necessary you may tell them that Paloma acted under my orders and Wataru... was a coincidence. I also am not sure how I got through security, as I wasn't trying to.
[ she seems relieved to hear that. ] I have been working with Intensity too, so perhaps, when things settle some, we can all get together and chat.
I'll pass all that along then. I just want to ask one more thing for clarity's sake. Does she know that you're working for Azzy? Like, is that something I can share. I assume, yes, since you were 'assigned to' and I can't imagine half the production wouldn't know which idols are/aren't auditions, but I still want to make sure.
Of course! No need to show your hand completely.
One more question, because I'm actually kind of curious. Was she difficult to put down? I've heard things about the trial and I was vaguely aware of what happened when a number of idols tried to fight, uh, the serpent, so... did she hurt any of you?
They should be aware, but if they don't ask, don't answer. We should avoid giving them too much.
She wasn't hard to kill at all, and she didn't hurt us. It helped that I was aware of her powers going in, and she didn't use them. She only tried to call security, and was dead moments after.
Alright. I just wasn't sure. I don't know everything there is to know about auditions, but I'll keep that to myself unless pressed for more information.
I'm kind of... surprised? Especially for a host of her caliber, although perhaps that was all an ~*~illusion~*~ or [ snorts. ] a lie.

It's all true, if maybe twisted a little.
