[ as soon as he's climbed aboard she orders her aibou to the coordinates and OFF THEY GOOOOOO. how far is this place, and what sort of place is it? she's going to be looking down at her phone a lot to see if/when they're closing in on it. ]
[ she orders her aibou to bring them in and land a few feet away from that familiar little place, looking at king as she hops off into the sand. ] Well well well~ it's been a while since we've come here.
[ And up the beach a ways, she'll find their old spot -- but he's restored what the elements have tossed around over time, as well as adding more. New pillows and blankets, candles strewn about in the sand to go with their old lanterns, a white linen half-fort to provide privacy and a windbreak. He's even dragged out a large futon so that they could comfortably sleep the night if they wanted to (and with much less sand.
In the middle of the futon sits a clay jar in Egyptian style, inlaid with gold leaf, lapis, and mother-of-pearl. A wooden lid keeps it closed, and a circle of candles illuminates it even from afar. ]
I'm not going to argue with that. [ chuckles, her face flushing a bit as she looks over everything. ] I mean, like, this place always has been and probably will always be one of my favorites here in Tokyo-F. [ she turns her head to give his cheek a kiss. ] I would have loved to come out here sooner, but things just, like, they never chill.
But what's that... [ she wanders ahead to the futon to take a look at the clay jar. ]
[ plops her ass down onto the futon and wraps her tail around herself. ] ...heh, well I still really appreciate it. [ smiles, looking around the entire area. ] I love this place, and seeing it brought back to life and then some... it's wonderful, King. [ she pats the space beside her and then removes the lid, peering inside, kind of surprised to find a bunch of paper. ]
... [ she stares at him for a second longer and then does so, opening the small scroll of paper and reading it. ] ... [ well, fff, that makes her nose scrunch, because, uhm, RUDE, how dare he. not to mention she blushes a bit. ] I don't do that... [ huffs, charmed. and then she does, in fact, open another. ] ... [ this one she stares at for a bit longer. ] Heh, ... [ her hand closes around that bit of paper. ] You know I'll always do my best for you, Atem.
[ ...so, like, is it ok if she cries, because she's going to cry. she tips her head down, so her bangs form a veil over her face, because she still hates crying and she'd like to absolutely pretend that she's not completely overwhelmed, but she is. he'll probably be able to see several streams of tears roll down her face, but at least she's smiling, because these are, for once, happy tears. ]
... [ she looks at their joined hands and squeezes his once again. ] Forever is a long time, and I know you and Intensity have, like, some sort of plan to turn things upside down and make sure this never happens again or... something... [ looks up at him. ] I guess I have been feeling kind of lost ever since my ideal world. Like, I had all of these plans beforehand and now... I... I don't know... but I do know I don't ever want to lose you too.
I'm still lost. For now, my only plan is to see this place through to the end, and then never be separated from those I love again. No more and no less.
I feel a bit lost now too, so I can absolutely sympathize. [ she slumps into him and gazes up at the stars. ] But I plan on seeing this place to the end. I promise... myself, at least to a degree, and you and Intensity and... I still have to kill *her*. She's mine. But [ kisses his cheek. ] I don't want to lose the people I love either.

Eventually their direction will hone in on a familiar section of beach. ]

I know. I thought it was worth revisiting.

But what's that... [ she wanders ahead to the futon to take a look at the clay jar. ]
Re: Day 300
[ Should she lift the lid, she'll find the jar is full of little, tightly-folded up slips of paper. Perhaps a hundred of them or more. ]
Re: Day 300
What are these?
Re: Day 300
[ When she does, it's a small hand-scrawled note.
I love the way your nose scrunches up when you're concentrating hard on a game.
And if she opens another,
I always feel safe knowing you're looking out for me. ]

I've only said this once before, a long time ago . . .
[ To Yugi, what feels like centuries ago. It may as well be, at this point, after everything they've all gone through. ]
But I want to be with you forever.

I've spent me whole life lost.
