[ Following after, wisely not saying anything in response to that. His emotions transmit amusement loud as day, though. ]

Shutup. [ said fondly. and YES she knows he didn't say anything. ]

[ climbs aboard the bike and waits for him to join her. if he tries putting his hands on her shoulders, then she'll politely move them to her hips. there. ]

[ He does indeed grab her shoulders at first -- what right does he have to get handsy when she barely knows him?! -- but when she repositions his hands, he huffs a little, amusement flickering.

Fine. ]

[ good. no arguing. ]

[ she heads off, waiting for him to give her directions, because otherwise they're quickly headed nowhere! ]

[ He gives the necessary directions, which fortunately aren't too difficult to follow considering how much of the drive is highway.

The long trip also gives his emotions time to mellow into something more calm and carefully controlled -- D.Va can probably feel how certain emotions are examined and then packaged away, like mental housecleaning. ]

[ oh, she does notice! and it's kind of fascinating. she wonders how she does this sort of thing. she doubts she's this careful and meticulous. ] ...you know, I know I'm not myself right now, but when I am, you can... share anything with me, right, like... [ a moment's pause. ] even all of those things you don't really think you need to talk about.

[ His emotions are certainly more calm and even now than they were back at the arcade. ]

...mm. [ and that means a lot, but it still seems like he's hell bent on hiding a lot of this stuff, but she's not going to press the issue. ] I'm glad you trust me.

[ He thinks about "king" and "queen" and there's a swell of some hard-to-define warmth ]

[ smiles, speeding up as a result. as fun as riding around on a bike is she's more interested in getting to their destination so she can cuddle him some more. ]
