[ she is having a lot of bad feelings right now, but she's doing her best not to pay them any mind and, instead, focus on all of the people she's worried about. the list is long. she remembers bits & pieces of the various fights she had and they're all kind of bad, because a number of her most important people got hurt. ]

...oh. [ no. ] It seems like their aim was to not only destroy our city, but also destroy us in some fashion. A lot of what they seemed to do had the end result a corruption or ten. [ she's going to look him over. are his new corruptions there yet? ]

I'm glad you survived. If you didn't I would have come for you. [ she's tired, so there's not much umf behind what she says, but there's definitely a lot of conviction. ]

So you had a lot of hard hitters to finish the fight, but... [ she just wanders straight into him and rests her head on his shoulder. ] You should probably be resting, no? You sure had a time.

[His corruptions have already shown themselves; and it's a strange new feeling to have those visuals on him and wonder-- and worry-- what they look like to others.

There are a lot of things Lancelot should probably working to process on his own end after such an intense series of events, however he'd focused what energy he had on making sure he checked up on as many people as he could. What he'd done, how he'd done, what happened to him... those things felt easier pushed aside than thought about too intensely right now.]

I know you would have. There's not a doubt in my mind. [He knew few people who had as much of a fiery, indomitable spirit as she did; even when-- no. Especially when it was in her best interests to look after herself first.]

Shouldn't I be saying the same to you?

[He reaches up and gently pets her head, softly running his hand over her hair. After a short moment, he admits something.]

...I don't know if I really want to sleep right now.

[ ...she reaches out to touch his newfound horns. she knows getting a corruption ( or ten ) kind of sucks, but she can't help but think that the horns and the scales suit him. he reminds her more of herself, and that earns a small smile. ]

[ and she doesn't blame him for wanting to not think about all the stuff he endured. it was much easier to pretend to be fine and focus on everybody & everything else, because bad time. ]

I... I don't like letting people down. [ her tentacles come up around him to hold him in place against her. ] Especially when they mean so much to me. And I would never want her to lay a hand on you. [ she would sooner lay all her carefully laid plans to rest to make an attempt on lilith's life if that bitch so much as tried to fuck with lance. ]

No, not necessarily. [ cracks a smile, tired smile. ] This is, like, another Tuesday for me. Nothing... new...

I have a place nearby if you want to just... rest for a while then... I'm pretty exhausted... [ and she's really not sure how much longer she could still be standing. ]

[At first it had felt so foreign-- like he was watching another rift be created between the person he thought he once was and the person "Lancelot" was, here and now. For all he denied making that connection between his former self and present self, he still felt conflicted about the sense of growing even further apart from it.]

D.va you've never let me down. You're one of the people I know I can rely on the most-- even if I'm well aware that I still try to take on more than I should by myself.

[If she was with him then-- resting for a while should be fine. He smiles and nods.]

...Yeah, I'd like that.

[ and all of that makes perfect sense. it's not like he isn't that person. he just doesn't remember being that person... at least not completely. she's not going to fault someone that hasn't give up on recovering their former self, even if she's completely abandoned the idea for a number of reasons. ]

... [ she has to stop herself from saying that he should probably give that time. surely she'll fuck up. ] ... [ /// ] I'm glad you think so. [ her grip on him tightens. ]

It's not too far. [ going to see if she can walk alongside him without letting go of him. ]

[He encourages her to lean on him a bit. Although he'd suffered a great deal of internal damage in the last battle, externally he fared well enough. Just a few bruises and scratches.

Breathing though... He kind of hates that right now.]

Lead the way.

[The closer she stays to him though, the more likely she is to notice that his skin has a cool feel to it that's not exactly normal.]

[ and that is going to make her cooler. she is not sure how she feels about that. cool -> cold -> bad. ]

[ she brings him to a small out of the way place, leading him up the path and to its door. ]

I have a first aid kit and a couple of snacks here. And maybe you could show me your new scales. [ her tail wags a bit. ]

[It's a quaint little place-- a nice getaway from it all. He smiles when they get inside and she offers to patch him up and feed him. As well as--]

I got the worst of my injuries taken care of. However... if you want to see for yourself then I don't mind showing you.

[If there's anyone he'd be comfortable showing them off to, it would be her.]

[ yep! she comes here sometimes just to chill. ] Good, though... I could have played nurse~ [ and been completely ineffectual, because her first aid knowledge is limited. ]

I'd like to see them. [ nods. ] A couple of people here have scales, but I haven't ever gotten to see them up close & personal. I think they're based on dragons anyway, whereas mine... [ so she'd like to check them out, definitely! ]

As nice as that would have been, I'll settle for worrying you less this time.

[Although he certainly wouldn't turn down the opportunity to let her nurse him, given another opportunity. But this time with the corrosive burns... it was better he got it taken care of first.]

In that case, by all means.

[Lancelot takes off his vest and shirt, showing off a fair number of blue and silver scales on his chest. Although there are more poking out over the top of his pants at the hip so there's definitely more where that came from.]

Heh. I... am still worried, if I'm being honest. It seems like the last bunch of fights had been real bad and... I... still regret not having been able to be there for you. [ especially since he fell unconscious!!! ] But at least we shared one fight together... even if I don't remember all the details.

[ she takes a seat to watch him strip. ] ...coupled with the horns I think the scales look... amazing. I know these stupid corruptions are bad, but some of them just look so... good. [ reaching out to brush her fingers over his scales. ]

[Aside from the fact that his heart isn't beating-- he surprised himself by how willing he was to accept these changes. Perhaps it was because of the reason he got them; in defense of the city. But having someone he likes admire them isn't changing that feeling any either.]

That goes both ways, though. I wasn't able to help you either, at the end there. But I really enjoyed the time we were able to fight together.

[It was messy but it was... still nice.]

It's... different. But I... don't think different necessarily has to be "bad". [...] It feels nice when you touch them.

[It's an entirely different sensation and it's... kind of hot.]

It's alright. I think being an oversized monster helped. [ she manages a small smile. ] Like, I did tons and tons of damage to that stupid thing. [ and it retaliated x100. ] Me too. Not that I'm interested in seeing the city attacked again, but I hope we'll get to fight side by side again. Preferably with me as myself.

Oh? [ presses a bit more firmly, gliding her palm over them. her tentacles all peer out from around her, wishing to join her in touching them, but she manages to reel them in... for now. ] I'm glad, because I really like touching them.

I'm certain you did. It never stood a chance. [Remembering how powerful D.va was at her normal size, he can only imagine how much she was able to do at several times the size.] But I agree. I hope for at least a little while, things calm down for us a bit.

[That thought is cut off abrupt as he inhales softly. He didn't know why it felt so much better than usual but. It's a very nice discovery.]

Mm-- well... I'm not going to tell you to stop.

...same. I'd like a break. [ she smiles at his reaction and then, when he tells her he's not going to stop her, well... that's just opening an entirely new can of worms. her smile broadens, twisting into a smirk as she leans in and drops a kiss dead center to his chest. ]

Are they a little... sensitive?

[It really is impossible for him to play it cool when she is involved, and as a result she always reads him so easily. However, where he normally can still maintain a certain amount of reservation— the warmth of her hands seems to seep into his body. It registers in his mind that his heart is beating again, but more than that— it feels like it’s fueling the flames, pumping them through his body.]

I don’t know if it’s them or if it’s you but—

[He reaches back, gently stroking his fingers over one of the curious tentacles that had been poised, wanting to touch.]

It feels like my whole body is burning.

[In a very nice, very intense way.]

It could be a little of both... [ though, she definitely considered being 110% cocky about it and taking all the credit. ] I noticed that a lot of the times these changes make a person... overly sensitive, and I’m absolutely speaking from experience. [ her tail, for one, and then the obvious tentacles. ]

[ the tentacle coils around his wrist and then presses into his palm, d.va’s cheeks darkening as she goes silent for a couple of moments. the others take this as a sign that, they too, can get involved, so one of the cups his cheek, another draws circles around one of his nipples, and the last is trying to work its way into his pants. ]

D- Does it? I... can feel the heat coming off of you. It’s... it’s definitely intense. [ and it feels incredible. ]
