Good afternoon, and thank you for getting back to me so promptly.
Sure, that sounds nice. I actually brought a little something to congratulate you and yours on the engagement. [ she lifts up a small box containing a cake... though it’s not nearly as perfect. ]
[ she takes a seat and gingerly crosses one leg over the other while folding her hands in her lap. ]
I’m here on behalf of the Liars, because I was informed that you and a few other idols killed Exael. All they want to know is why and how, since the who and where are already ‘known’, aaaand I’m not so sure what applies.
[Eichi laughs at that, throwing his head back with delight.]
The Liars are taking recruits now too, eh? Hate to tell you this, but I have no answers for you. It is not the place of a sword to know why it is slicing someone, it is simply a tool in the hands of another.
And I don't know how. I traveled as I was travelling through normally, but suddenly I'd found my target. My associates were with me by chance.
Iiiits something like that. [ she cracks a smile. ] I’m just a messenger, honestly, looking for answers to pass along to those with questions. So you were asked to take her out then, I suppose that says something.
How lucky though! I’m kind of surprised she was just hanging out in the hotel, but I guess being in the thick of it comes with the host territory.
[ she gets the feeling he’s not sharing eeeeverything, but that’s understandable. she figures a lot of idols would probably jump at the chance to hurt or kill a host, but actually doing it~ hm! ]
Not that I know any of the back end stuff, but I’m sure we’ll be seeing her again. She pretty popular~! But whether or not your little message sank in, well, only time will tell.
I had planned on it, not to worry. Your cadence made it pretty obvious that you’d like her to... know her place, so to speak. I just meant that, even in death, she probably realizes a *little* something.
[ she wafts a brow. ] Ah, [ a slow nod. ] and probably not. If I’m being honest I never really took her for the sharpest tool in the shed.
I belong to Vengeance, for the record. I'm a willing participant in this stupid war between two Princes only in that I can do it or suffer.
And yet, I will say that if you intend to be an agent of the Liars, I will be opposed to you on a level beyond what has to do with the games here, if my understanding of their goals is correct. However, I don't think it benefits either of us to play good little soldiers for the demons who hold us here.
Do you know what your Liars' endgame is? Do you know of Vengeance's? I've an understanding of the situation from only one perspective so far, and my own plan is to not follow either of these factions.
[ frowns. ah, so he IS an audition. ] ...or suffer. I'm assuming if you don't participate in their feud you'll be sent straight back to the other hells and made to fade away again? or whatever the hell happens down there.
I'm using them to try to further my goals, if I'm being honest. I cried out, got a response, and took it. I'd be on the other side if one of them were to have answered. [ she shrugs. ] But I agree completely. I'm not really interested in being a slave to these demons, but sometimes it suits me and, perhaps, you to play pretend~
I believe the Liars just want to poison everybody with their belief and remake Heaven to their liking, but I really don't know all the details. I'd have to ask and sit through a long-winded history lesson of some kind, I'm sure.
When we choose to graduate to "Heaven", it influences the minds of those in her Hell, drawing her nearer to her goal. It has something to do with hope and all that.
Vengeance's goal as he's told it is the freedom of mankind from God and the power God would be able to exert over others. And considering the Lady's power in her domain is strong enough that Azzy can't attack her because she believes they're on good terms, I'm prone to not side with them.
That said, just because his domain isn't lies does not mean I truly believe my "boss" has good intentions. I am trying to find the truth which must lie somewhere in the middle- and to liberate the idols with that knowledge.
It might be good for us to work together to that goal. No strings attached, of course.
...heh, I'm not surprised. I don't know if you ever had a chance to visit Liar Hell when the Production was under Maintenance, or even some other time, but their residents model themselves after angels and even have angel refugees among them.
[ nods. ] I do know her whole thing works on belief, and the stronger the belief the more power she holds. I have heard that many many many times, and let me tell you it certainly gets old fast. However, I had no idea that it extended to Azzy to that degree.
I don't like either side, honestly, especially because I'm sure he's using us similarly, but spinning it in a way that makes it look marginally better than she is. But I can definitely admire what you're doing. Me, I'm not sure what my goal is beyond protect those I care about, but I have no problems lending a hand if and when I can, as long as you're willing to do the same... no strings attached, as you've said.
So what would you have me pass along to her. She knows that you, Paloma, and Wataru were involved in taking care of Exael.
I've been working with Intensity to this end as well, and have been using my unique position to get as much information as possible and disseminating.
I also gave him information to report so for consistency's sake, I want them to know that "I don't know why it happened, I just did what I was assigned to do", and "I got what I wanted out of it." In addition, if necessary you may tell them that Paloma acted under my orders and Wataru... was a coincidence. I also am not sure how I got through security, as I wasn't trying to.

Good afternoon~
Come in. I've got tea on; it's a loose-leaf black tea with cinnamon. Would you like a cup?

Re: Late Afternoon; 280
Oh. Ah. Well. Only one of them is here. As in, currently part of the production. But thank you~
[He accepts it though, setting the cake on a counter before pouring two cups of tea.]
Re: Late Afternoon; 280
I’m sorry to trouble you with this, BTW, especially after such a bad game.
Re: Late Afternoon; 280
It's always after bad games that I have these sorts of meetings. Please close the door behind you.
Re: Late Afternoon; 280
I want to be surprised, but I guess I’m not really.
Re: Late Afternoon; 280
Such is the nature of my role. Now, shall we?

Re: Late Afternoon; 280
If her Lady revives her, she might do well to remember that. A little distance will do her good.
[He may know more than he's letting on. But who is she? And why should he cooperate?]

It's all true, if maybe twisted a little.
