I don't know. It... doesn't feel like much, if I'm being honest. Like, it might be news to them that the hit came from Azzy, himself, and it hadn't just been some rogue Idol getting revenge for a shitty game, but I feel like that's all I have. I guess maybe the fact that she died so easily??? I... don't know. I really don't.

I think you start the conversation by trying to get your soul back. Get terms on the table signed in writing. Preferably with her name. Then it's actually binding.

...so as soon as I meet up with her tell her I have the information she asked for, but I want my soul back? Iiii'm not so sure how well demanding a contract is going to go. I get the feeling that's just going to piss her off.

Not quite in that order of operations.

Tell her not being able to die in the house was a disaster. You're a liability to her and the production in future games. And that you want to earn your soul back. This information gathering is the start of that. Don't demand it. You're right - that will piss her off.

But barter with her to something reasonable. Because if it's reasonable, there's no reason for her not to sign it to make it binding. And for you to sign it, too. Otherwise, she's going to double cross you. She is a Liar, after all.

Do I think this will be enough to win your soul back? No. ... Unless it really doesn't have any value to her. And it must because she doesn't seem the type to do things for sadism's sake. You should start the conversation now rather than later because I doubt she'll reward you with it if you ask nicely after you've done a ton of shit for her.

I think that sounds a lot better. I get the feeling I'm going to be jumping through a few hoops to get it back, but it is what it is. I'm sure she's not going to mind having me run her errands, if I'm being honest.

And what if she doesn't go for the contract idea? I mean, like, it makes sense of paper, but what if she tries to be like, oh, you don't trust me. The obvious answer is no, but I'm not really sure I can straight up say that to her face.

So hit her up ASAP then? [ she takes a deep breath. ]

Hardly. I thought she was part angelic. Which is why you saying she went down to a bullet is curious.

I thought angels were weak to mental attacks.

...coulda just been her appearance. A lot of the people in Liar Hell looked like angels or had, like, biblical angel features and stuff. And I just figured it might have been unit related, since my superior's powers seem to be similar to BARiTONES.

[ shrugs. ] Eichi mentioned that he was aware of her abilities, since I imagine he had to be if he was going to take her down at some point, but I didn't want to ask for too much information, especially stuff that didn't seem too relevant to what I needed to know.

Last year, BARiTONES did have something that gave them mental attacks. I don't know what they received this year though.

...something similar, because they were still able to make mental attacks. It's how I lost a fight with one of them... If she was shot, then all of those bullets could have had their power converted to mental, which then probably just sort of obliterated her.

...it's a bit difficult to explain, but, like, all of the force behind an attack of, say, a knife would somehow be channeled straight into my head, attacking my sanity. So it's like I was being stabbed in the thoughts with a knife.

[ she brings her arms around herself without realizing it. ] But it's not like they were incapable of harming somebody physically. I guess it just depending on who they were up against. But... but I got to experience it all. I had my arms cut off, my legs, and then a chunk here and there and... [ she starts feeling sick all of a sudden. ]

[ shakes her head. ] No, i- it... [ swallows the bile that's risen in her throat. ] it's fine, I took care of it, and we're fine now.

I meant, like, I'm fine with them. I'm not mad. As far as me... no, I'm not fine. I can't sleep. I can't eat. [ cups her hands over her face. ] And I'm nervous about this.

During the game... though I guess I had a little soup after. I've just been drinking a bunch of different stuff. [ like alcohol, soda, and energy drinks... ]

I think about eating and I feel nauseous. I eat and I throw up. I should probably consider myself lucky that I can still drink stuff without feeling like shit, but I don't want to jinx it.
