I'm afraid there isn't much to tell. I have--- I suppose recollection might be too strong of a word but it is all I have to offer for the moment - of existing for a period of time without my memories or even a sense of who I was. We have a name for this phenomenon back in my home world of Teyvat - it's called erosion. Though most do not ever come back from it once they have fallen prey to it.

When I came to my senses, I was offered a contract to come to this production. And that if I performed well, I could get a wish granted. I do not clearly recall the person who offered me said contract, so it may or may not have been this Azzy person of whom you speak.

...ah. I guess, like, the bigger question is, like, you're not loyal to this mysterious contract giver, right? And I think all auditions are from Vengeance Hell... not sure Liar Hell ever, like, came up in that discussion or whatever.

I am loyal to the contract that I signed, which is one reason why I take my role as an idol and as a member of Heart Soldier Senshi very seriously. That is part of the expectation of us, is it not? But that is not to say I wouldn't do so regardless as I have come to care for the unit greatly.

So as long as the production does not break their end of the contract, I will not break mine.

We wouldn’t know as far as those contracts go, since we aren’t bound to anything like that. Auditions are… weird. It’s not like we know much about them beyond you come more equipped and all that.

That I perform as an idol on the Imeeji Productions, and should my performance be deemed worthy, I would be allowed to graduate - which includes being granted one wish.

Is this somehow different than those without their memories?

I guess the one concerning thing is, like, if the contractor can ask you to do things for them in addition to that. If not, then we're not so different I guess. [ but it seems like zhongli doesn't know, since he couldn't remember much. ] Kind of sounds like things were rough during that time though, since it was before they gave you your memories and junk. Almost like they took advantage... but... I mean I don't even know what they want from us. I'm not sure what deems somebody worthy of graduating if I'm being honest.

If there were other tasks I was meant to perform, I have no recollection of them. Nor of any other additional requirements.

But considering how the production warped the requirements of the guest units at the last moment, I would suggest we all proceed with caution in this.

As far as I am aware, there is nothing in my contract that precludes me from discussing the specifics of it with you. So I will let you know if there happens to be a conflict of interest so I might remove myself from the situation and try to keep all of you out of harm's way as much as possible.

I think that's fair. I don't think something like that is bound to come up. Most of the important stuff is discussed in the dorms, away from listening ears and prying eyes, so they don't know who knows what.

Yes, my home country of Liyue was overseen by the God of Contracts. We were able to create a peaceful and prosperous nation through the order established via fair and impartial rules and standards. To break a contract which you have willingly agreed to is the greatest offense that can occur there.

Of course. The entire country was built upon the notice that trust is the most important currency. That is to not say one cannot be fair and kind at the same time. But if you do not set the proper expectations, you invite failure in your midst.

But, like. If you got a contract that says you can't say nothing about something, and then an older contract, like... changes terms, to make it so you gotta spill the beans. Which one trumps which?

The terms of a contract cannot be changed once it is established unless both parties consent to the change.

Just have to make it so it doesn't, like, infringe on the old contract, since that'd put Zhongli in a bad spot, but also protects you and yours, y'know. May be kind of hard.

I mean... long's it includes something about, like. Him not saying nothing, but also not being able to admit he knows anything in the first place, that should cover it, right? Can't get in trouble if no one knows he knows.
