[ she circles her tail around intensity's middle as soon as she's able, locking herself securely in place in between the both of them. immediately she feels a bit better, safer, which right now is most definitely the most important thing. ]

[ sighs into the back of king's head, closing her eyes as they take flight. ]

[ At least they all have a peaceful flight over Tokyo-F to clear their heads a little.

Anyway, it's not too long before they arrive at HSS's greenhouse, the window panel sliding open with a little FiN magic as they approach]

[ she’ll let go of both king and intensity, but wait until he steps off to follow. it’s not like she’s in any rush right now. ]

[ she does run through their options. no beach. shop, maybe, ... and then there’s hm. ]

[ King hops off behind her, but he doesn't take the lead, just watching her for a cue on what she wants to do. ]

[Blue Eyes curls up in the greenhouse, Intensity leaning down to nub her snout and say something quietly to her. If close enough (or good at reading lips), it's something about keeping watch.

And then he turns to look at the both of them.

And his fake doppleganger certainly did not appreciate his presence last time.

[ she heads into the dorm proper and to her room, and since there are no other hss around it looks like all three of them are spared from having to explain wtf is going on. entering the room she heads straight for the closet, but it’s not to pass through to the shop - it’s just to change into this. ]

[ she idles in front of it for a few extra moments, but then turns around and heads to the bed, kneeling alongside it and then reaching beneath and apparently rifling around for something. a minute goes by before the bed starts sliding away to reveal a staircase. ]

[ . . . ??? ]

That's new...

[It's not the first secret entrance to a room he's seen.

How many rooms do you have?

[ she starts heading down the stairs, but pauses after the first few to look back at the two of them. ] Four, including my bedroom. [ and then she just keeps on going, hitting a button on the way down. ]

[ The staircase itself is styled more like an airlock, with an almost featureless room to wait in while it's cycling. Besides the switch to start the process, the only other feature of the airlock is the wall mural depicting a scene from the bible: the serpent convincing Eve to eat from the tree of life. Except Eve in this case has cool bunnymech armour, which surely doesn't actually mean anything. The apple is movable and does not have to remain in the box. ]

This one seems more elaborate than the others.

[ At least in terms of getting into it, anyway ]

[Staring at the mural for many long uncomfortable moments before glancing over at King and D.Va]

I thought metaphors and symbolism were supposed to be more subtle than that.

...mm. [ in response to king. ] It's meant to be a lot more private than the other rooms I have, which I generally don't mind sharing with other people.

[ and then she looks at intensity out of the corner of her eye, shrugging. ] Don't ask me, I didn't paint it.

[ This room is richly furnished, with dark walls accented in bubblegum and...okay, well actually, the entire room is the same color, but with darker shades to depict murals of flowers and fruit (pomegranates, split figs, branches of olives) entwined with serpents. Interrupting the murals are flickering computer monitors set into the walls, and the useless knobs and switches (okay, some actually just drop robosnakes on you, but details!) that can be found everywhere else in the dorm. Four capsule chairs with attached keyboards (some of the keys are just different snake emoji?) sit in two neat rows, and at the end of the room is one swivel chair. It's cream coloured - unlike the entire rest of the room, oddly - and random areas of the plastic part of the chair are scorched with burn marks. Windows provide a view out into a black void with countless points of light glistening therein - this seems to be a spaceship. A mantle over a screen depicting a raging fire is hung with actual branches of olives, and the "fireplace" itself somehow fills the room with the gentle haze of spiced smoke. From somewhere beyond the walls you can hear the occasional hissing of a snake. A monitor centered in the wall opposite the firescreen displays a message: Welcome, MeKA crew. Contact with anomaly in: ?$@!!!$********* ]

[ there's also a long wrap around couch that she'd purchased sitting in the room just before all of the chairs, which she heads over to immediately and flops onto. ]

[ Hey, D.Va?

The fuck is this? ]

Whoa...

[ He takes a moment to properly rubberneck as they're being led over to the couch, taking a seat after her.

And dragging Intensity down with him. ]

[He is pulled down with the both of them, but becoming increasingly agitated as he sees serpent after serpent after SERPENT motif. And the monitor which clearly is reminiscent of a certain host's very first game.]

So what exactly did you request for your upgrade to get---

[And he makes a gesture with his arm not commandeered by King at the moment]

[ she moves into place across both of their laps, so king can also remain attached to intensity. ]

I was drunk when I made the request, soooo I'm not 100% sure... [ searches for her phone, which is at the beach. whelp. ] ...

But I thiiiink I had described her apartment, since it had been pretty nice. I definitely didn't ask for a spaceship and I wouldn't have thought to ask for... whatever this is.

Is it at least dragon shaped?

[ Peering down at her with a lifted eyebrow.

He's carefully avoiding commenting on her chosen... theme. ]

[Shifts so that she can get comfortable as she can using two bony card game boys as makeshift bed.]

Well, when you've fished your phone out of the ocean, I'd like to see that request. To understand how much of this was the producers' artistic license.

It's not the dumbest thing I've bought. Like, until I find a cool use for it I think that would have to be the cannon. [ said as casually as anything else. ]

If you send Blue-Eyes to get it, then I could just show you it now. Or... I could just put a picture of her place up on the screen and we can compare.

[ her tail flops uselessly behind her and her tentacles slither around the both of them to secure them all in place. "hug" time. ]

[ He glances sideways at Intensity, because all of this is extremely concerning, but still opts to say nothing.

Instead, as the tentacles coil around them, he reaches out with his free hand to run a soothing hand over her hair. ]

. . . It can wait until later.

Right now you should rest and relax.

Don't misunderstand. It's not your end that I think is suspect.

But that can wait until later. Even if we did know, it's not like we can take any action tonight, tomorrow or in the foreseeable future.

[ she doesn't seem the least bit concerned for reasons she's not going to bother explaining to either of them, so she'll just hum and give a nod. ] Later then. Just let me know when or whatever.

If this room bothers you guys, then we can move to another. It's not like I have any shortage of them. Or if it makes you some sort of uncomfortable, then... [ sits up just a little bit, giving them bother a questioning look. ] I know it's weird.

[ He pulls his hand back as she sits up. ]

I don't care what room it is. Just that you're both in it.

[ but she's also kind of worried that intensity's going to get all weird again, so she wants to make him some sort of comfortable, but maybe she should just stop worrying. if he'd wanted to leave, then he would have done so already. ]

I like being fussy though. [ jokingly. ]

...you know, I'm hoping the next time I wake up sore, in a pillow pile, with you two, and with virtually no memory it's not because I turned into some dumb monster.
