Well. She’d kind of figured and was afraid to check but really that tracks and she’s not surprised she’s not she knew all along it’s better to check—



She jerks her arm back and stands abruptly, walking away. ]

[ blinks, confused, but she’s going to scramble to her feet and try to snatch her wrist. ]

Kohime! Stop!

[She doesn’t stop, but she looks back over her shoulder and smiles, all teeth. ]

Ooooh, right— thanks for the meal, or whatever. But I’ll be good from here. I’m sure there’s somewhere else you’d rather be.

[ stops, stunned, and immediately looking hurt. ]

[ stands there dumbly for another few moments before turning and heading back into the garden. she’ll just sniff the fire and drag the cart into the pavilion. ]

[She pauses and stiffens at that –– then turns and snarls, punching a tree next to her.]

[ she whirls around and bristles at being called a liar. ]

I’m not lying! I want to spend the night with you, Kohime! Stop focusing on other people, because right now they’re not important!

I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t want to spend time with you! I wouldn’t keep making an effort and getting upset and hurting myself in dumb and stupid ways if I didn’t fucken love you!

[ scrubs her hands over her face, so she can hide it, because now she’s getting upset. ] That’s not what I wanted. I wanted to make you happy because I care about you, stupid, and making you happy makes me happy and that’s why I’m here and I found this place and I made you food and I wanted to spend the fucken night with you gazing at the god damn stars!

[She walks them right up to each other, stopping when they're only a couple feet apart, though she doesn't release D.Va even then.]

What's the matter? Change your mind already? Oh no. That was fast.




[Her smile, her posture, mannerism, it's all deliberately casual and sassy, if a little cartoonishly exaggerated –– like she's trying to play the part of a terrible, femme fatale type villain. But her eyes a just a little wild –– remember that oh-so-slightly unstable Catra in the barracks in her heart? Looks like she might be making a cameo here.]

I’m not sure why you think you have to hold me against my will. It’s not like I was the one planning on leaving. I wasn’t lying when I said this is exactly where I wanted to be, Kohime.

[ she’s not sure what she can do or say to fix this. nothing, probably. this was always going to be a problem, but she’s not sure how and why it suddenly came about when they were just having a good time. it must have been something she said. ]

Standing there, she doesn't say anything. She's not really even tracking what D.Va is doing, either.]

[ as soon as she’s done she’s going to climb on top of the pavilion and look back to kohime. ]

[Bursts out laughing, just a little hysterical.]

[ she has no idea how to react to that. she just feels stupid at this point. upset and hurt. lays down on the roof, tail draped over herself. ]

[It tapers off eventually into hiccups that sound a little like sobs, then she's quiet again, except for some rustling as she searches through her clothes for something.]

[ she hears her, but she doesn't peer over the edge. just stares straight up at the sky, though she's really got no interest in the stars anymore. ]

[More rustling, then a pause––




And then a soft grunt followed by a sharp, long hiss.]

[ alright, now that's something she can't ignore, so instead of just looking down at kohime she's going to jump down and start toward her. ]
