Not like this.

I've made chicken soup a couple of times, and now that we have a kitchen there I can practice in the comfort of the dorm instead of having to do so in the hotel kitchen, but only special people get special recipes.

[She reaches to trail a hand over D.Va’s shoulder and along her arm until she meets bare skin, flattening her hand over D.Va’s hand and wrist.

[ so her most important people are king, kohime, griffin, and intensity. as far as feelings go. all of them are important to her for different reasons, but she falls right behind king. intensity follows her, and then finally griffin. ]

[ other people to note are hurricane, who is pretty much her best friend, and there's a lot of over-protectiveness there. her unit is also super important to her too, because she does like the idea of team and family and that sort of thing... even if it's not completely perfect. lucifel too, since she knows she can trust and confide in him without issue. ]

She jerks her arm back and stands abruptly, walking away. ]

[ blinks, confused, but she’s going to scramble to her feet and try to snatch her wrist. ]

[She doesn’t stop, but she looks back over her shoulder and smiles, all teeth. ]

Ooooh, right— thanks for the meal, or whatever. But I’ll be good from here. I’m sure there’s somewhere else you’d rather be.

[ stops, stunned, and immediately looking hurt. ]

No. I wanted to spend the night with you, ...
Why is that so hard for you to understand?

[ stands there dumbly for another few moments before turning and heading back into the garden. she’ll just sniff the fire and drag the cart into the pavilion. ]

[She pauses and stiffens at that –– then turns and snarls, punching a tree next to her.]

––Don't lie to me!

[ she whirls around and bristles at being called a liar. ]

I’m not lying! I want to spend the night with you, Kohime! Stop focusing on other people, because right now they’re not important!

I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t want to spend time with you! I wouldn’t keep making an effort and getting upset and hurting myself in dumb and stupid ways if I didn’t fucken love you!

[ ... ] The one I really- Is this about King?! Why the hell are you comparing yourself to him! Stop it! Why can’t I love the both of you, Kohime?! And I don’t know what the hell he’s doing now and I don’t care!

[ scrubs her hands over her face, so she can hide it, because now she’s getting upset. ] That’s not what I wanted. I wanted to make you happy because I care about you, stupid, and making you happy makes me happy and that’s why I’m here and I found this place and I made you food and I wanted to spend the fucken night with you gazing at the god damn stars!

[She walks them right up to each other, stopping when they're only a couple feet apart, though she doesn't release D.Va even then.]

What's the matter? Change your mind already? Oh no. That was fast.

I’m not sure why you think you have to hold me against my will. It’s not like I was the one planning on leaving. I wasn’t lying when I said this is exactly where I wanted to be, Kohime.

[ she’s not sure what she can do or say to fix this. nothing, probably. this was always going to be a problem, but she’s not sure how and why it suddenly came about when they were just having a good time. it must have been something she said. ]
