[ the crab gets flung off, so all she's got to concern herself with is king. she continues to thrash around and buck like it's going out of style, but instead of knocking him off all she manages to do is throw him over her head. she blinks, slashing at him in one quick motion just as he activates charm. ]
[ hopefully she's knocked him off, because the hss ability has her reeling in a mess of strange feels and she's not sure how she'd react if he were still attached to her. she stares at him, the gears of her monster brain turning. ]
[ he's hers. and hurt. but also hers. but mostly hurt. ]

[ she needs to get something to show him that she's sorry, but also something to help with his wound. she makes a more somber sound at him, which CLEARLY means she'll BRB, and then she immediately bolts. ]
Well, the slash is probably to be expected, as is the light and blood that immediately spills out and hits the sand.
Her running away, though? Yeah, that's not expected. That's the opposite of how Charm usually works!!
He curses under his breath -- presses one hand into the gashes on his shoulder -- and then immediately bolts for his parked bike. There's no way he's keeping up on foot. ]

King will also notice that the needle on the speedometer of his bike starts creeping past what the laws of physics.
Don't crash. And also do what you need to do within the 10 minutes before that bike starts to melt.]
[ THIS TOTALLY WASN'T A HIT & RUN, NO, NOTHING LIKE THAT. ]
[ she doesn't bother looking over her shoulder, but instead takes a sharp turn down the next street, and then another, because she's going to suddenly start backtracking. hopefully that'll throw starfish for a loop...]
[ but also who/what is this metal bird thing with the beanpole on top of it?! ]
[ ........ Why would you trust him with this. Please.
But okay, fine, this is good. His grip on the handlebars goes white-knuckled as he keeps the suddenly speeding bike steady, keeping a wary eye on D.Va's movements.
So of course she decides to make a sharp turn.
Fucking--
He swears again and swings the bike wide so that he can make the turn, tearing down the street after her. ]
[ she doesn't like this, but stopping to stand her ground against the two three of them doesn't seem like a battle she's going to be capable of winning. if she could barely knock king over, then how the hell is she going to fight his friends too? ]
[ is he mad at her for scratching him? it had been an accident! ]
[ she screeches an apology at him. SHE'S SORRY KING! ]
[ ducking into one of the buildings she takes five to catch her breath. king is on a bike and beanpole is on a bird. neither of them should be able to get in here, but if they do, then... she'll just have to... plan b. ]

[ that doesn’t stop her from trying to wiggle free, getting dropped be damned. ]
[ she tries twisting around in blue-eyes grip so she can slash at her, though it's probably a wasted effort, since she's metal. doesn't stop her from trying though. meanwhile her tentacles all try shoving away from the bird thing as the beanpole barks about something. ]

[ splats on the ground and makes some strangled noise as she gets back to her feet, about to take off again, when king addresses her. she looks back at him, and then to intensity, and then back to king. if she sticks around too long she's bound to get attacked by that thing again, but also... KING MIGHT GET ATTACKED BY THAT THING!!!!!!!11!1 ]

...
[ charges at king, her tentacles reaching out to pick him up and plonk him on his back as, without missing a beat, she keeps on running. see you later, intensity. it's time to head for the small park she's sure she saw while running around like a lunatic. she's got the perfect gift in mind for king. surely he'll accept her apology then... though fighting off the bird thing might also do the trick. ]

Re: Day 222, evening
One, she can climb and jump and go over all kinds of terrain the bike can't.
Two, she's fast.
And three, it will be way, way too easy to lose sight of her and then lose the trail completely.

Texting and driving? You bet he is.

Re: Day 222, evening

Re: Day 222, evening
He cranes his neck up when he notices the shadow, letting out a breath of relief.
And then just -- points at the giant monster he's attempting to trail. The giant monster with conspicuously familiar tentacles and markings.

Should have just fucking sat on her.

Re: Day 222, evening
Shouldn't keep trying to friendship speech the giant monster. We're all making mistakes tonight.
